The reason they are called reborn is that they use to take old dolls, strip the paint from them and repaint them. That is the name they came up with. a reborn doll. that was...maybe 20+ years ago. It is now a billion dollar+ industry.
They are individually made dolls is all. They also make them in silicone, which can cost thousands of dollars.
