Took a quick look and thought I would save you all some time on digging through Joseph Zaccardi the poet.

He is not the same person as Joseph Zaccardi the children's book author, that was discovered dead along with his family.

The poet is much older, compare the pictures, plus he was a Vietnam vet, the other guy was 43 years old. The Vietnam war was over by the time he was born....

Thank you. You've demonstrated how important it is to not assume that what an OP says in an title is based on the links given (I assumed he was the author based on title). And that non related Children's book author with same name as the deceased would have had PG FALSE accusations (he wrote a poem about cannibalism of a stillborn!) spreading across the net if this board doesn't get it right. Based on that, this post should be removed imho, ideally by OP @EnterTheUnKnown or by a mod @Vindicator PG gets enough ridicule when it doesn't deserve it, why provide posts that would deserve ridicule by demonstrating that our standards of proof are a fail, if we do nothing about it.

I just edited that one (I had the others and overlooked this one). It's true that he wrote at least one children's book. The case was not closed (so that was not accurate), and the technically as you stated, the post doesn't adhere to the rules. That being said, I took back my asking you to remove the post. I would only ask that you clarify that there are 2 Joseph Zaccardi, one the murderer who wrote the children's book and another one who is a poet that shows up in searches of the name. People here spent a lot of time looking into this on your behalf, and just a while ago another person came across the wrong person (the poet) and wrote about him. Editing that info to your original post doesn't seem like a lot to ask.
