So, the latest news about Epstein's involvement with MIT's Media Lab is causing all sorts of fallout and resignations, and at last some focus on high tech Ivy League establishments and pizzagate-related issues.

Nicholas Negroponte has been a herald of the digital era, and authored the best-selling “Being Digital” (1995), about the growth and future of technology. Trained as an architect, he transitioned into computer science, and began MIT’s Media Lab in 1985, which continues to be the leading force in the development of ideas at the convergence of technology, multimedia, art, and design.  ..

He also founded and led One Laptop per Child, an acclaimed nonprofit that created and distributed millions of quality, low-cost educational devices to children in the developing world. Nicholas and his wife Deborah Porter, the founder of the Boston Book Festival, are nearing the completion of a house in Chilmark.

Negroponte was born to Dimitrios Negrepontis (Greek: Νεγροπόντης), a Greek shipping magnate and alpine skier, and grew up in New York City's Upper East Side. He has three brothers. His elder one, John Negroponte, is the former United States Deputy Secretary of State. Michael Negroponte is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker. George Negroponte is an artist and was President of the Drawing Center from 2002 to 2007.

Dimitrios Negrepontis was descended from an expatriate Greek family and grew up in Lausanne, Switzerland, and attended boarding school in Klosters, Switzerland, where he learned to ski. Negrepontis used his family money to become a Greek shipping magnate, and in 1939 would marry Catherine Coumantaros, described as one of the most beautiful women in Greece. She had been born in New York, although her family returned to Greece when she was three. His shipping business would bring him to New York where they lived in Manhattan.

In March 2008, along with ICMEC and Microsoft, The Smile of the Child organised a four day seminar entitled "Computer Facilitated Crimes Against Children". Once again law enforcement, prosecutors and judges from Greece and neighbouring countries were brought together for training on investigating crimes against children through computers.
