This sounds familiar to pizzagaters........
"Opium dens had been around in Washington, DC, for some time. Another Washington Post article talks about a September 1894 raid on one at 425 10th Street Northwest, where police were greeted by the sight of nine opium smokers “almost completely under the influence of the subtle drug.” Edward Williams, who gave his occupation as “gambling,” faced charges for keeping the place. The club was officially called the Excelsior Pleasure Club, a legitimate club that was incorporated as a front for the well-dressed patrons who visited regularly. Police had been looking for two “notorious opium fiends” named Matinee Charley and Gypsy Joe, but all they found were several government employees."
EVEN MORE INTERESTING....
The street address from the article still exists. The club no longer exists, but the location is next to ........FBI Headquarters. LOL!

Connection = Deutsche Bank = Paris Accords = Cap and Trade. Cap and Trade was never passed by congress but New England states , in particular those on the border of Canada, have it anyway. The money is in renewable energy credits...mainly for elite democratic insiders and corporations. In this case wind farms ..do not produce power but nevertheless are supposed to save us. From what? The dem. insiders, owning lots of shares in hedge funds which built in upper state NY and ME are rahm emanuel and larry summers. Deutsche bank financed home loan and rental property for state legislator way out in the boonies , near me, The company which built here had bought out lots of enron assets and got middle management people. Their SEC report stated they don't have to produce power to make money. SO...electricity bills go up.......taxes pay for the monsters .......birds die ...people and animals get sick who live near one........and they don't even produce power .

Deutsche Bank founder Ludwig Bamberger:
"Bamberger was born in the wealthy Jewish Bamberger family in Mainz. After studying at Gießen, Heidelberg and Göttingen, he entered law. When the revolution of 1848 broke out he took an active part as one of the leaders of the republican party in his native city, both as popular orator and as editor of the Mainzer Zeitung. In 1849 he took part in the republican rising in the Palatinate and Baden; on the restoration of order he was condemned to death, but he had escaped with other leading revolutionaries like Germain Metternich, Louis Blenker, and Franz Zitz to Switzerland. The next years he spent in exile, at first in London, then in the Netherlands; in 1852 he went to Paris, where, by means of private connections to the Bischoffsheim family, he received an appointment in the bank of Bischoffsheim, Goldschmidt & Cie, of which he became managing director, a post which he held till 1866. During these years he saved a competence and gained a thorough acquaintance with the theory and practice of finance. This he put to account when the amnesty of 1866 enabled him to return to Germany.
He was elected a member of the Reichstag, where he joined the National Liberal Party, for, like many other exiles, he was willing to accept the results of Otto von Bismarck’s work. Bamberger represented the electoral district of Bingen-Alzey and married Anna Belmont, a relative of the famous banker August Belmont, who had emigrated to the United States." https://www.geni.com/people/Ludwig-Bamberger/6000000017205994164

After WW2, guess who controls Deutsche Bank......
Biggest German Bank Admits and Regrets Dealing in Nazi Gold ... "Aug 01, 1998 · Biggest German Bank Admits and Regrets Dealing in Nazi Gold. Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Bank base their rejection of the New York class-action suit on the assertion that their wartime officials had no knowledge of the origin of the gold, an assertion that leaders of German Jewish groups reject. The historians' report said there was ''no..." https://www.nytimes.com/1998/08/01/world/biggest-german-bank-admits-and-regrets-dealing-in-nazi-gold.html?mtrref=duckduckgo.com&gwh=B045E45E07DA08D976315A06EB0DB142&gwt=pay
"Founded in Berlin in 1870, Deutsche Bank played a major role in financing electrification and railway expansion in Germany as well as other countries. It continued to grow until Germany's defeat in the First World War and Allied demands for reparations put the country's banking system in a precarious position. To cope with the instability, Deutsche Bank merged with its main rival Disconto-Gesellschaft in 1929. The combined operation, now far and away the leading bank in Germany, weathered the Depression and ensured its political survival through the war years by providing financial support to the Nazi regime and removing the Jewish members of its board directors.
After the war, Allied authorities determined that Deutsche Bank had not only actively supported the Nazi regime but had also maintained close ties to officials such as SS chief Heinrich Himmler and had been involved in appropriating assets of financial institutions in countries overrun by the Nazis. The occupying forces divided the bank first into ten and then three regional institutions, one each for the north, central, and southern regions of West Germany. In 1957, however, the operations were reunited and allowed to function under the Deutsche Bank name once again." https://www.corp-research.org/deutsche-bank
"Back in 2016, I wrote an opinion piece recommending that all banks should measure their credit risk exposure to Deutsche Bank, because the globally systemically important bank was (and is) very interconnected with U.S. banks and other financial institutions (OFIs), often referred to as non-banks or shadow financial institutions. That same year, the International Monetary Fund emphasized that Deutsche Bank was a systemically important bank, meaning that if it fails, the repercussions will be felt widely and likely painfully. What I find truly incredible is that Deutsche Bank has been allowed to operate in the U.S. as long as it has. Deutsche Bank’s Board of Directors and senior executives have allowed the bank to be engulfed in numerous money laundering, weak controls, market manipulations, and fraud scandals. Deutsche Bank bankers’ greed has also blinded them from filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)." https://www.forbes.com/sites/mayrarodriguezvalladares/2019/06/16/deutsche-banks-impending-auf-wiedersehen-will-hurt-americans/#4354536110d6

And who controls Deutsche Bank now?
After WW2, were the Nazi removed "Jewish members of its board directors" allowed back into the bank board? Did the Allies give original Jewish control back to the bank?
"Although its leading representatives scarcely agreed with the ideology of National Socialism, they complied with the racist goals of the regime from the outset, putting up no resistance; the feeling of impotence and feebleness instilled in them by the aftermath of the 1931 banking crisis and the anti-bank ideology of leading Nazis was simply too great. Adaptation and a willingness to compromise were in their view the order of the day. For instance, by 1934 the three members of the bank’s Management Board whom the new government defined as Jews had been banished from this body. Only on the Supervisory Board was a Jewish colleague tolerated as late as 1938." https://www.db.com/company/en/media/Deutsche-Bank-History--Chronicle-from-1870-until-today.pdf
Who was this Supervisory Board "Jewish colleague" and why did the Nazis tolerate him?
Do you think Nazis still run Deutsche bank today?

"Deutsche Bank was founded in Berlin in 1870 as a specialist bank for foreign trade.[8] The bank's statute was adopted on 22 January 1870, and on 10 March 1870 the Prussian government granted it a banking license. The statute laid great stress on foreign business: "The object of the company is to transact banking business of all kinds, in particular to promote and facilitate trade relations between Germany, other European countries and overseas markets."[9] The bank's first domestic branches, inaugurated in 1871 and 1872, were opened in Bremen[10] and Hamburg.[11] Its first foray overseas came shortly afterwards, in Shanghai[12] (1872) and London[13] (1873). Already, at this early stage, the bank was looking further afield, making investments in North and South America, Asia, and Turkey. Major projects in the early years of the bank included the Northern Pacific Railroad in the US[14] and the Baghdad Railway[15] (1888). In Germany, the bank was instrumental in the financing of bond offerings of steel company Krupp (1879) and introduced the chemical company Bayer to the Berlin stock market. "Jewish bankers played an important part in the development of joint stock banks. Ludwig *Bamberger and Hermann Markuse were among the founders of the Deutsche Bank (1870), which was active in financing German foreign trade." https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/banking-and-bankers

I recall seeing a long newspaper article in the Hartford Courant (CONN.) on the state history and the early biggest landowner there being one of the big opium kings.
In a search it turns out that newspaper has always done good reporting on the opium trade.

The East India Company, later Jardine Matheson, used opium to balance it's trade with China for silk and tea. Originally, they tried to use the American colonies, but after the Boston tea party, the opium strategy was used. The Jewish Sassoon family had fled Iraq and set up their opium empire in India. The Rothschild controlled East India Co. clandestinely shipped Sassoon opium to China to get the citizenry hooked. This is how they got the gold and silver to pay for the tea and silk and "balance" the trade. When China found out, they tried to outlaw it, but to no avail. The East India Co. by that time had such a bad reputation that they morphed into Jardine Matheson trading Company. Under their leadership, England was dragged into the Opium Wars against China, and prevailed. Hong Kong was established as a British trading port.
"1700 The Dutch export shipments of Indian opium to China and the islands of Southeast Asia; the Dutch introduce the practice of smoking opium in a tobacco pipe to the Chinese.
1729 Chinese emperor, Yung Cheng, issues an edictprohibiting the smoking of opium and its domestic sale, except under license for use as medicine.
1750 The British East India Company assumes control of Bengal and Bihar, opium-growing districts of India. British shipping dominates the opium trade out of Calcutta to China.
1753 Linnaeus, the father of botany, first classifies the poppy, Papaver somniferum-- 'sleep-inducing', in his book Genera Plantarum.
1767 The British East India Company's import of opium to China reaches a staggering two thousand chests of opium per year.
1793 The British East India Company establishes a monopoly on the opium trade. All poppy growers in India were forbidden to sell opium to competitor trading companies.
1799 China's emperor, Kia King, bans opium completely, making trade and poppy cultivation illegal.
1800 The British Levant Company purchases nearly half of all of the opium coming out of Smyrna, Turkey strictly for importation to Europe and the United States.
1803 Friedrich Sertuerner of Paderborn, Germany discovers the active ingredient of opium by dissolving it in acid then neutralizing it with ammonia. The result: alkaloids--Principium somniferum or morphine. Physicians believe that opium had finally been perfected and tamed. Morphine is lauded as "God's own medicine" for its reliablity, long-lasting effects and safety.
1805 A smuggler from Boston, Massachusetts, Charles Cabot, attempts to purchase opium from the British, then smuggle it into China under the auspices of British smugglers.
1812 American John Cushing, under the employ of his uncles' business, James and Thomas H. Perkins Company of Boston, acquires his wealth from smuggling Turkish opium to Canton.
1816 John Jacob Astor of New York City joins the opium smuggling trade. His American Fur Company purchases ten tons of Turkish opium then ships the contraband item to Canton on the Macedonian. Astor would later leave the China opium trade and sell solely to England.
1819 Writer John Keats and other English literary personalities experiment with opium intended for strict recreational use--simply for the high and taken at extended, non-addictive intervals
1821 Thomas De Quincey publishes his autobiographical account of opium addiction, 'Confessions of an English Opium-eater.'
1827 E. Merck & Company of Darmstadt, Germany, begins commercial manufacturing of morphine.
1830 The British dependence on opium for medicinal and recreational use reaches an all time high as 22,000 pounds of opium is imported from Turkey and India. Jardine-Matheson & Company of London inherit India and its opium from the British East India Company once the mandate to rule and dictate the trade policies of British India are no longer in effect.
1837 Elizabeth Barrett Browning falls under the spell of morphine. This, however, does not impede her ability to write "poetical paragraphs."
March 18, 1839 Lin Tse-Hsu, imperial Chinese commissioner in charge of suppressing the opium traffic, orders all foreign traders to surrender their opium. In response, the British send expenditionary warships to the coast of China, beginning The First Opium War.
1840 New Englanders bring 24,000 pounds of opium into the United States. This catches the attention of U.S. Customs which promptly puts a duty fee on the import.
1841 The Chinese are defeated by the British in the First Opium War. Along with paying a large indemnity, Hong Kong is ceded to the British.
1852 The British arrive in lower Burma, importing large quantities of opium from India and selling it through a government-controlled opium monopoly.
1853 Dr. Alexander Wood of Edinburgh discovers a new technique of administering morphine, injection with a syringe. He finds the effects of morphine on his patients instantaneous and three times more potent.*
1856 The British and French renew their hostilities against China in the Second Opium War. In the aftermath of the struggle, China is forced to pay another indemnity. The importation of opium is legalized. Opium production increases along the highlands of Southeast Asia." READ THE REST: https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/heroin/etc/history.html
Americans, including a Delano family member, also made fortunes off the opium trade.
"Warren Delano II (1809 – 1898) Warren Delano II amassed a fortune as a partner in Russell and Company, America’s largest firm engaged in the China Trade. He and his brother “Ned” were in Canton at the time of the Opium War. He created Riverside Cemetery in 1850. In 1893, Warren Delano II saved the Fort Phoenix cannons from a potential out-of-town buyer.
In 1843, Warren Delano II married Catherine Robbins Lyman. Their seventh child, Sara Delano, who was born September 21, 1854 at the Delano estate near Newburgh, NY, became the second wife of James Roosevelt on October 7, 1880.
The son of Sara and James Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born January 30, 1882 at Hyde Park, NY. That summer, young FDR came to Fairhaven on the first of many visits." https://fairhaventours.com/the-delano-family/
The pizzagate associated Sackler family (through the arts) made their fortune off of opium based pain-killers sold through the family owned PURDUE PHARMA, located in CONNECTICUT.
