Did he Buck the system? I think the system worked out fine for him he always had those 4 minute hit songs. Every song he sang was a hit.
I don't know much about Tom Petty. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he was caught up in it.
Then again this vid came out in the 80s as it was meant to be really crazy Alice in Wonderland type of thing it got a lot of play on MTV. It doesn't necessarily have to be about Spirit cooking but if there was a connection to any pizzagate character producer artist you name it I'm interested in knowing maybe I'll do a little research.

I agree he bucked the system way too much. Maybe that was his point/the point of this video.
