Something is seriously going on. New York City, Washington D.C. and Fullerton, California have all had blackouts in the last few days. New York is having another one today.

Isn't it fairly common to have power outages in the summer when everyone is running their a/c unit 24/7? It would be interesting to see some reporting on how this compares to typical summer outages in big cities.
