U.S. District Judge Kenneth Marra ordered Wednesday that the U.S. Justice Department and the victims' attorneys decide by May 10 how they want to proceed with the case involving victims of 66-year-old Jeffrey Epstein.
...
[Judge] Marra had initially set a March 8 deadline but agreed to move it back after federal prosecutors in Atlanta took over the case.
The judge who sealed all of the Epstein case files. The girls' lawyers appealed and got a federal judge to overrule. The court was then considering whether to give it all back to the old guy and have him unseal selectively. Then, that dude died (96 years old).

That's interesting. Initially, they said only two weeks, until mid-March.

Thank you. I admit I was a bit confused why the date changed.

I hadn't been aware of the change either.

It's a good move. Two weeks were certainly not enough.

Yes.

I wonder if that is because the judge died?
