Now we find Bill Karelis, 71, arrested for sexual assault on a 13 year old girl. Bill was a teacher and leader at Shambala meditation retreats in Boulder, Colorado. This is yet another example of poor parenting, as the child was encouraged to be in a relationship with Bill because of their religious faith and trust in him. The abuse went on for years.

The sexual abuse in Tibetan Buddhist circles is rampant according to ex-Buddhist Christine Chandler. And sadly, the lamas and higher ups are protected by the devotees of this cult, many being women.
