Translation of the Dutch file up to chapter 2 - along with notes I made
Don't get me wrong, I entirely believe translating is needed at times. But the book is set up to be a huge mess (maybe it was translated to Dutch after having been written in French?) with a lot of missing notes, sources that cannot be retraced of the 'we had a phonecall'-variety, and some other things that seem odd. I don't know enough about the whole Dutroux case and all involved, but I do know that if the book is how I experienced the first chapter (and from some fast reading through it was), it is not worth my time since it seems a lot of the sources cannot be taken seriously.

Anyway.. Here's the pdf with what I got so far.

I guess it was translated from a French original - they thank a translator in their preface:
Belgium has two official languages, French and Dutch, so it wouldn't be surprising if it had been written in French; and one of the authors is a native speaker of French.

Yeah, but did not know if that person translated the book or just parts of it. Going through the paragraphs the writing all-together is a bit weird and sometimes when I thought a certain thing had been said, it turned out to go the other way. So didn't dare make much assuming about what had been translated by this person.

Ok, thanks.
