"A 31-year-old Navy lieutenant stationed in Mayport, Florida, who solicited an undercover officer posing as a parent to have sex with a 12-year-old girl has pleaded guilty, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Michael Douglas McNeil, formerly assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82), faces 10 years to life in federal prison on the charge of using the internet to attempt to entice a child to engage in sexual activity, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. He has been detained since his Aug. 30 arrest."
