Thomas J. Benestad was the rapist @StcharlesSeminary One of our Victim/Survivors here on Voat/pizzagate.

She was not allowed to participate in the Grand Jury since they did not allow SRA Accusations.

Monsignor. Leaves of absence 1978-80, 2006-07. Sabbatical 2001-02. Retired in 2009. First named publicly as accused in 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. On Allentown diocese's 8/19/18 list. Allegation to diocese in 2011 that Benestad abused a boy, including forced oral copulation, beginning at age 9, in the early 1980s. Accuser said the priest squirted holy water into his mouth afterwards "to purify him." Benestad denied the allegations, which were deemed credible by law enforcement. Diocese claims to have tried to have Benestad laicized, but the Vatican said not enough evidence. Living in 2018 in the Diocese of Palm Beach FL.

He is the Head of the Papal Foundation. He is a vile man.

What do you mean by 'they did not allow SRA accusations'? As soon as a victim started talking about SRA, they were sent home?

I was told by her that they would not be allowing anyone that would fall within those guidelines (whatever that means) that they would not be allowed to participate. The funny thing about that is that there was an article about the Grand Jury Results and in it was the story about Benestad and the little boy and making him drink holy water. Well in that article it said it was considered SRA. WHAT? I was shocked they even disclosed that info. I have looked through many and cannot find it now. Believe me, I did not imagine those words. I read it over many times since I was in such shock and also since I have been close to her. My understanding was that they were not even called in to be interviewed. Anything that was considered SRA by them, was not allowed.

Yes, I remember reading it. You might be able to find it in the full report @Factfinder2 linked to in one of his posts.

They said it was 'ritual abuse'.

Anything that was considered SRA by them, was not allowed.

Well, that's crazy.

Well, tat's crazy.

I agree. I hope that with this new lawsuit that they will gain some new rules and be able to bring forward SRA as well. I will check the posts.
