Sleeping children abuse was depicted in the TV series TRUE DETECTIVE, it was an obscure evangelical boarding school there so I guess that was based in real life situations.

certainly could be - the good guys try to bring awareness with small amounts of media they occasionally wrestle away from the cult monopoly on voice
