It's a character in the book 'Alice in Wonderland'. Not really sure whether this is really so important though.
When she says that the guy goes to the country of Alice and the Mad Hatter, maybe she only meant that the guy would travel to England? Since the author of Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll, was British?
Oh yes Alice was one of my favorites:( I meant if the Mad Hatter was code for someone else. Could even be a restaurant. They have sent some weird emails before like the crossed fingers one. With the rabbits foot. Btw she left out the March Hare.
Well, IIRC, Johnny Depp played the Mad Hatter in the 'Alice in Wonderland' movie, but he doesn't live in Britain, as far as I know, he owns property in France.

In the first email, Alice seems to be a response but then when you see the way the message starts:
Why is he adressing her with the initial "A"?!!!
And I gotta say that even though there appears to be something here, I resent the sloppy way this was thrown up and left for everyone to figure out.
