New York Governor Chris Cuomo was given $25,000 from Boies, Schiller & Flexner, the law firm representing Harvey Weinstein. Six days later, Goversnor Cuomo told the New York Attorney General to suspend the investigation into Harvey Weinstein. He said the suspension was to prevent a conflict with another investigation of Harvey Weinstein by the Manhattan District Attorney's office and had nothing to do with the donation.

A couple of questions come to mind:

1. If it wasn't bribery, why didn't he just return the money so it wouldn't look like a conflict of interest?

2. Why is it bad for there to be two ongoing investigations at the same time by different levels of government for different crimes?

My two questions are more curious than cynical. Regardless, this article relates to pizzagate as it shows that pedophiles can influence politicians indirectly and stall investigations.
