A Bombshell take down of the pope. One error I noticed at the end was that he said that the priests raped men and boys. This is true, but they also raped girls as well. I felt bad that our own Victim here on voat @StcharlesSeminary was left out. There were many women and girls raped by these priests and they should be acknowledged. My only problem with the speech. Otherwise I hope it movies the pope to do the right thing. But since he as an Arrogant Narcissist, I have my doubts. I am pulling out my Rosary.
There seems to be a concerted effort to keep the pedophile problem a homosexual issue. You rarely hear about the girls and women that have been abused, and there seems to be an effort to make it all about seminarians (over 18) and not about children at all. You can see where they're heading with this, trying to minimize things so they can more easily brush it all away.
Yes, and thought it was still horrible, but people have more sympathy for little children. It doesn't sound as heinous and a lot of people in the Church have their ideas about the gays. Oh, well the seminarians were gay anyway. I noticed too that they are really pushing it. The children and women must be spoken about as well.
