The raping by priests is doubly damning for the kids. The church teaches about sin. The priests hold the keys to heaven and hell. But then the priest forces the kid into sin. How much extra angst they bear when a priest abuses them eh? With other abusers they can at least think the abuser is bad, but if a priest, god's representative on earth abuses them many think they are the bad ones. Why any Catholic still gives money to the Catholic church and attends mass is beyond me.
