Seems Sarah has been trying to get word out about her abuse at the hands of Tom Hanks and others for quite some time, but now its gaining a lot more traction in the wake of the recent uncoverings. No way to be certain about the validity until this boils over properly, but as we've learnt so far this kinds of monumental accusations are seldom baseless.

This is how I learn though. I comment, people respond and educate. I think full immersion is a better way to learn instead of just sticking my toe in.

That is the majority of the comments on Voat I would think. Everyone wants to feel relevant, and most people prefer an echo chamber of their opinions instead of having some discussion about opposing opinions.

The truth is part of the human condition. Humans have an instinct for self-preservation. Ethics and morality are learned behaviors. When people become powerful they instinctively want to stay powerful. When exposing the corruption threatens their prosperity they will resort to desperate measures.

I just finished a human behavior course in the context of how people behave in an organizational setting. Many behavioral theorists like Maslow and Herzberg came up with a list of factors that motivate people to do things. They can be applied for when people do good or when they do bad. When people feel secure they are more likely to do good. When they feel insecure they seek to restore that sense of security, which can lead to them doing bad things. Exposing the misdeeds of someone in power threatens their sense of security, which motivates them to react.

I believe it can get better, but I think the key is smaller government. More people holding more power encourages more collusion. Strength in numbers right? If their are fewer people in power, there are fewer people to help cover up the misdeeds. This will reduce the number of "connections."

You used the wrong form of "you're." "You are shit is getting downvoated, accordingly" does not really make much sense. Also, I do not think you need that comma there. "Your shit is getting downvoated accordingly" flows much better and I believe the grammar is correct the way I wrote it. I could be wrong since I am a "faggot."

As an actual response to you though, I am dealing with that reality. Getting downvoated on Voat is much like losing health in a video game. It may disrupt the mission but as long as I have fun it does not really matter. Voat and the internet are a virtual reality for me. Outside of the internet I have a very full life with lots of fun, family, and even a few good friends. That is my reality, not a virtual point system made to represent how popular my comment was in a particular thread.
