Thai Cave, Elon Musk, and a PEdo (pizzagate)

The world watched in amazement at the saga of the stranded Thai soccer team was rescued. Nothing felt right to me from the start. WTF were those boys doing 2 miles into the cave? My gut told me they were being trafficked from the beginning, but zero proof to indicate.

Now Elon Musk tweets:

The "pedo guy" refers to the British diving expert who was running the scene and is the foremost expert on the cave system. Hmmm....caves are kinda like tunnels...

I seriously doubt this guy took an entire soccer team to a cave only to have them disappear into the child trafficking system and be unable to explain what happened to them. Occam's Razor would suggest they went on a field trip and got in over their head.

It's basically an issue with how to statistics or probability. You're comparing two different sets of numbers.

Let's take US deaths from terrorism in 2001 , the year of 9/11.

99.99% of US deaths from terrorism in 2001 occurred in NYC.

What does that tell us about risk a New Yorker has of dying from terrorism. 99.99% is a big scary number, but it actually doesn't tell us much. Because while 3,000 people died on 9/11 NYC has over 8 million people and another 2 million who come to work or visit.

Even with a spectacular day of 3,000 dead 99.7% of NYC would not die from terrorists.

So my point was almost 100 percent of people in Thailand are not trafficked and there are 70 million people in Thailand. The idea that you can take a random group of children in Thailand and assume they are sex trafficking victims is absurd if you understand the actual numbers.

But our brains don't work this way unless we slow down and think through a problem. Psychologists call this the "availability heuristic" if can easily recall something you will probably overestimate its probability. If you look at US terrorists deaths for the last 15 years, you will find that an American has a greater chance of dying by falling out of bed than by terrorism. But we don't think about falling out of bed deaths, so this seems impossible when we first hear it. But we fear terrorism and discuss it so much, it seems like a likely answer, that it happens actually more than it does.

Interesting. I guess none of us know then. But I do know it is a place that pedos go, not a place that is a known home of pedos. The customers seem to come from USA and UK, other places as well of course. They exploit the Thais. So Thailand is the villain? The filthy foreigners descending on Thailand is the problem, as well as the corrupted Thai authorities. USA has an epidemic of pedophiles, a casual browsing of Megans law sites will prove shocking, the volume of perps listed.
