It really doesn't matter how he tries to minimize what he did, the fact remains that what he did legally fits the definition of producing child porn. Netflix needs to be held accountable for distributing this garbage.

Exactly, and the proper authorities need to investigate the mothers and find out how many takes it took to get this scene to his liking. They should also tear apart his studio and computers to find out if he has any CP.

Whitehats already have it.

Huh? I've heard nothing about this. Do tell.

No citation. Once you understand what our collection capabilities are, and who controls the reins, then you can comprehend how powerful "the machine" is.

Watch the first few episodes of Person of Interest. I'm not some TV LARPer, but that will give you a pretty good idea of domestic and OCONUS collection capabilities. The addition of AI into "selector analysis" allowed targeted surveillance to become very easy. Everything can be tracked, right down to DNA.

Viktor Litvenyenko - Dosed with alpha emitters which can be blocked with paper. Satellites tracked his path all over London. Just by his radioactive sweat. Almost 10 years ago.

There is some very serious tech out there.

Back to the original question. AI applications (Palantir) are used to relationship map and help create "target" lists. The predictive modeling already identified Joel Davis and proactively sucked everything of his existence out of the ether.

Can't explain it too much more simply.

Oh, trust me. I know exactly what you're talking about and it's much more powerful than we can imagine, even if we think we can. It's an exciting time to be alive, but very frightening as well.

"Why World War III will be fought on the internet" http://theweek.com/articles/441194/why-world-war-iii-fought-internet

That article is a bunch of propagandist-sounding hogwash.

Enigmatic_Continuum ago

I'm sorry to hear you think that. While it's mainly an opinion piece, keep in mind that it was published in 2015, and I think it sums things up pretty well as to what we're seeing now in regards to fake news, drones, leaked info, and civilian investigations and the creation of memes.

It's OK to disagree on the context of an article. It isn't the end of the world... ; )
