I always thought extraction of organs was a delicate procedure and were only viable for a very short period of time. That's the part of this that I don't understand.

maybe not all go for transplant, schooling?

I know that they are air lifted from one hospital to another and it's a race against the clock. One false move and the whole thing is ruined. Maybe that's only for heart transplants and kidneys are different. I certainly would not want a kidney taken out of someone that's not in a sterile environment in a third world country. Think about it.

Yes and no Back in the day they didn’t even cross match tissue. People weren’t guaranteed life just a new organ. Taking out the organ can be sloppy / clean. They just want the money
