Nielsen could not answer. When asked about the now infamous footage released by HHS that has been played all day on every major network, showing boys inside the Brownsville, Texas Walmart turned detention center, Nielsen claimed she never saw it.
When pressed on the issue, Nielsen then deflected the reporter claiming that she will “look into that.”

Hate to state the obvious, here, but what is the percentage of unaccompanied kids detained at the border who are girls in the first place? If a family is sending their kid to cross the border to get a foothold in the US so he can then bring the rest of his rellies in via chain migration, they are probably going to send a boy to make that journey. You don't see a lot of female migrants in the EU...why would this continent be any different?

I read a tweet this morning that stated the girls are given birth control by their parents so they don't end up pregnant on these journeys, because they know the girls will be raped.
I read it on my phone in the early AM so I don't have a copy of the tweet sorry. I'd ask about it, but I am a nobody with 40 followers so I doubt I'd get a link.
It broke my heart when I read the tweet though.
