What is really creepy is that I went through my bookshelves yesterday evening, took Bourdain's book 'Kitchen Confidential' out and decided that I probably wouldn't want to read it again, and decided to give it to a charity bookstore. WTH.

I had a copy of it too. Someone bought it for me to convince me not to invest in a restaurant. That's the only positive thing I can say about AB. He "talked" me out of what would assuredly been a disaster.

All those obese or overly-slick celebrity chefs turn my stomach the same way self-help gurus always do. They raise my hackles.

I get the same feeling from most religious leaders.

Interesting quote, lol.

Interesting quote :-)

Chef idolization is just another sign a society has become completely enslaved to its vices, IMO.

LOL. Yes. But at the time I found the book very interesting, since it gave me an idea about the work in a restaurant kitchen.

My wife used to watch him so I know, somewhat, who he is. Yeah that's weird.
