The replies are amazing. Witch tries to blame Trump, people immediately jump on her for eating kids. Lol, my faith in humanity was just restored a little bit.
Why does no one here say that they actually want to help the children?
Regardless of who was or was not responsible, Trump is President now, and his administration is the only group that can fix the problem. Is anyone contacting the government to ask them to fix this? Do you believe Trump has done anything to start helping this? Or are Trump's policies for how to enforce immigration only going to make the trafficking problem worse?
Your last sentence is a bullshit red herring: Or are Trump's policies for how to enforce immigration only going to make the trafficking problem worse?
Pay attention here and you will see about a post a week of DOJ arrests. Or you could go look yourself.
This problem is way larger than I think most of us can fully grasp. The government bureaucracy exploded under the Traitor. Laws upon laws upon regulations wrapped in red tape held together by GS employees hired by the last "President". Which is why POTUS signed an EO 2 weeks ago making it easier to fire government employees. And Trump has shrunk the Federal government by 25,000 employees in the last 17 months.
"The traitor," LOL. Obama extradited more immigrants than any President in history before him. The number of illegal immigrants in the US exploded under GWB and only started falling under Obama. Trump's immigration numbers are actually not stellar, despite his inhumane and draconian policies.
Trump can sign any EO he wants, but it will change nothing there. The problem preventing govies from being fired is 1) their unions and 2) EEOC laws. Good luck firing govies. Or if you try, the agency be sued and we the taxpayers will pay big bucks. Try to look past the empty posturing, words and symbolic gestures.
BTW, when GWB "shrank" the number of government employees on paper, it was done by replacing those slots with contractors. This is way more expensive, as you can see by how GWB turned Clinton's surplus into trillions of new debt. Cheney saying debt didn't matter did not help.
Disagree if you want, but I have decades of experience in this area, spanning three administrations. Those of us who have supported the government for a while have seen the needle swing back and forth between govies vs. contractors, with these changes causing nothing but expense for us taxpayers.
And yes, Trump's policy of extraditing more immigrants than before, and taking kids from families. will make child abuse worse. We know that ICE and HHS ORR have problems with children being handed to traffickers, and being mistreated in ICE detention centers. We know they haven't yet fixed those problems. More immigrant kids being captured, processed and detained (with the same problems in place) statistically means more of these incidents of kids being mistreated or trafficked. Their parents will no longer be able to protect them, if they're separate. How can you disagree?
It's bizarre that a forum against child abuse would be in favor of THE GOVERNMENT taking kids from their parents and putting them into government detention centers alone. And that such a group would be OK with HHS ORR not fixing their policies to prevent child trafficking.
No, people turned away at the border are NOT counted as extraditions. Extraditions are formal legal procedings with fingerprinting, etc.
The number of immigrant extraditions increased in part because catch and release (which Trump can't stop talking about) started going away under GWB and increasingly dropped under Obama. Instead of catching and simply bussing people back to Mexico, under Obama they were increasingly prosecuted and officially extradited, inflating the count.
I think Obama and GWB ending catch and release is a questionable idea, costing us more and taxing our very limited ICE and CBP staff. But hey, you and Trump wanted catch and release to end, so the end result is a higher number of official extraditions.

DHS is empowered to enforce the border now.

Shut up shill. O'bummer changed the rules by counting those turned back at the border. Everyone knows this.

You are on the wrong website.

I thought I was on the website that was for actively saving children from abusers. I see now that's not what this site is about.
