Female here. I would lose my shit if every day I was expected to learn in some kind of fucking kumbaya bullshit drum circle. Reading and math isn't cooperative, it's individual. I died inside when we had to take turns reading aloud and follow along in grade school. The other kids would be like "George....Washington...mus...mustered..his...forces....at..the.." By the time they'd finish with that sentence I'd be two paragraphs ahead. My brain could not absorb info read at such a slow pace. Then I'd be called on to read and get on trouble for not following along. I hated the slow readers. I hated group work. I hated cooperating with morons.
