I told the mods about this back last May just before getting banned. I noticed the sub looked like it was dying out because posts weren't getting hardly any action but pointed out that there were usually as many as 3 to 5k users at a time still. shortly after that there were only about 500 users showing. I did a test on different subs with posts that had no action to make sure it was only me on the post and discovered that my vote would disappear after I refreshed the page but the icon still stayed showing I voted. I had other regular users check and they said it was happening to them also. I won't get into my experience with the mods but I am guessing this was done to slow us down so they didn't need to have as many babysitters watching our posts and comments....then regular posters started disappearing. This is also happening on Reddit but I have also seen my up vote take a post from 100 down to 81% so some of our votes are actually censoring posts and we don't realize it. I don't actually know if this is possible but I feel like they have some sort of way...like a fake template of pages that we see that covers things on the page with a fake and censored version of info.
If you'll take a looksee at v/voatdev, you will see this bug effects the entire site, not just v/pizzagate.

This was the whole point of the design of Voat -- that users would be able to curate content with their votes.

As has been repeatedly explained, the site has experienced massive DDoS attacks lasting months at times (probably due to v/pizzagate). Voting can be a DDoS vector. When Cloudflare senses an attack, it automatically adds lag time between vote registration...sometimes even giving an error message that it's "checking our bits" to prevent bot attacks from taking us down.
This has been going on since last May and I check all the time and all of my votes, comment votes too, are always pretend. If it was happening to every account on here there would never be votes on any posts.
