Same with the Presidio daycare sex abuse scandal. It reminded me a lot of McMartin! I have known since childhood that MCMartin was 100% real since I grew up in that city and we knew kids who had been abused. I get beyond pisssd whenever I hear some asshole discredit it and say "satanic panic" 😤
I'm not sure about what was under the preschool. I never heard anything about that until I was an adult and began following Ted Gunderson's work. From what I remember he was involved with the tunnels being discovered.

Yes, he was. The prosecutor argued that it could not be used as evidence, and the judge agreed. The whole system is infiltrated.
