@Oh_Well_Ian - You might want to understand that Congress has no prosecutorial authority whatsoever. Gowdy did all he could in the house. He even said as much - Congress can't do shit. Let's wait and see if he gets a position with teeth.
do you really think I don't understand the concept of 30 years of Republicans letting the Clintons off the hook in one bogus investigation after another?
I'm also following the 'resignations' as per Q.
Btw... I NEVER TRUSTED REPUBLICANS, EVER.
party of 9/11... party of Patriot Act... party of Franklin Scandal..
I agree with you. I'm talking specifically about Gowdy. He did everything he could given his position in Congress. What is he gonna do? Throw a perp in the House ye olde gaol cell?
The jury is still out on Gowdy. Just as I believe it is on Mueller. I think things will clarify soon, but Gowdy has done nothing, other than not being able to accomplish anything, to indicate he was DS.
I'll grant you a pass on Gowdy, fine. Has not been definitely outed, but Mueller?? Holy Crap! He's the deepest of the Deep State. 9/11 cover upper - lost flight data recorders - blew anthrax investigation - oh... and this >> https://voat.co/v/politics/1939407
I know, I know. I wouldn't bet a plug nickel on him being clean. BUT, he is a former Marine and he was/is in a unique position to have all of his dirty background exonerated and swept under the rug in exchange for running the rope-a-dope.
I'm not holding out that he is a "good guy". Only open to the possibility that he may not be full-on Deep State. Time will tell.
And like I said, I wouldn't bet against it. I could see the white hats approaching him with the "goods" and telling him he has 2 options: 1) remain dirty and get crucified or 2) play the game and clear your name and become a Marine again. That carries a lot of weight for those who served.
