Mariah was taken by her mother, who allegedly chose to flee rather than show up to a court hearing that may have led to her children being taken away, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
Following a viewer tip, several agencies were able to work together to find Mariah in New Mexico.
"We received a viewer tip & worked w/ Lubbock Police Department & New Mexico State Police to find her," The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children wrote on Facebook this week. "Big thank you for bringing home one of our missing kids!"
This Drill Sounds Familiar. I thought this was a decent program until last time when I noticed NCMEC was involved. Now this. What is going to happen to that little girl and will her Mother have to fight to get her back?
This should not be the way it works. They should be doing everything to have meetings and talk with the Mom and try to help her in everyway to keep her child. They should help her with classes, mental health, and food and clothes. There are ways to do this. But they want her child. At leas that is my feeling right now. I hope to God I am wrong.
This is connected to PG because we have a one of our Three Letter Agencies CPS trying to take a child from her parents. And here we have two agencies working together to do it. NCMEC and CPS.

They really should differentiate between parents fleeing with their children and stranger abduction. Sometimes it's the only route a mother has to protect her kids from an abusive ex-husband or from CPS. Unless there was evidence that the mother was the abuser, I probably would never make a call and turn her in. And, yes, sometimes it is the mother that's the monster in the situation, but this doesn't sound like that.
No NCMEC, one of your missing kids isn't home, they're stolen by CPS. I'd have to hear more about what the mother did or didn't do. All the training and help in the world sometimes isn't enough so there are cases where an intervention is needed, but this sounds suspicious.

Yes, look at those children. They look well cared for. The pic of the little girl from before, she looks all scrubbed up and pretty. Something is fishy alright. I think she wanted to keep that girl safe no matter how. Now I don't know what she will do. Where have those other children been as well?

Good question. Notice how these articles leave out pertinent details.

@Oh_Well_Ian has a really good theory and explanation on that.
