Considering the top comment ITT, why would you still be pushing HTTP links? And how could such a prolific participant of this forum not know that her comment about the editing-posts bug is completely wrong but yet might just convince OP not to edit an "S" into the link on this post?
Did you know that if you edit within your post that the comments page will freeze at this point and not compute any further? Big Secret that a lot of people do not know. Someone just informed me.
Edits lockup displaying vote tallies, not the comments section. Been talked about on voat for days now. Folk need to tighten up their data protection around here. PG is serious enough to have violent adversaries. If you act sketchy in here, I'll notice, watch for awhile and then say something. And as always, I'm happy to be incorrect.
Thanks, dude. Sometimes I feel like I stir too much so I temper myself. I'm starting to assemble a post for pg-whatever about forum security behaviors. Folk can get sloppy in here, but I'm certain there are bait posts too.
It is great that we have each other's backs and are ever vigilant about sketchy behavior, especially when it exposes others to unnecessary risk. That said, the bad actors frequently play up our shilldar and try to get us to turn on each other. Focusing on the facts is always the best answer unless there is demonstrable pattern to demonstrate a user might be bent on harm. :-)
