as far as i know every single childrens home run in australia either by government or church were havens for abuse the two near my hometown were run by pedophiles and their enablers and the stories could curdle your blood it just seems like nobody was going to step in and stop the abuse and the orphans were villified to make it seem like less than it was the indigenous children were torn literally from their parents arms and taken to places to be abused and murdered by their carers who were paid by the government to rape them and mistreat them until they died or got kicked out when they were old enough it is a terrible history of child abuse in australia and the victims are broken people incapable of leading normal lives a percentage of the abused become abusers and the rest alcoholics drug addicts criminals and prostitiutes
