That doesn't apply in every state and it has to be "reasonable force."
It's probably a bad idea unless you practice law in that state to think in the heat of the moment you can adequately discern what is an illegal arrest and what is reasonable arrest.
I'm pretty sure that drawing a gun on cop will get you a resisting an officer with violence charge. Also
Importantly, unlike the crime of Resisting an Officer Without Violence, it is not a defense that an officer's arrest was subsequently determined to be unlawful.
Another to note is even you committed no crime, the arrest can still be legal.
Here's a cop discussing such a case, where a guy with same name and description had an open warrant in another state. The cop arrested him to determine if he was the guy and he was not and he was let go, but the arrest was lawful.

I'd be in prison for killing that cop.

This is why we need to keep the 2nd amendment exactly the way it is.

2nd Amendment has nothing to do with murdering law enforcement.

It is not murder if you are preventing the commission of a felony, and the person committing the felony is armed.

The arrest has to be legal. Resisting an illegal arrest is not illegal.

You can blunder your way into some real charges like "resisting an officer with violence" which can get you five year in prison. https://www.richardhornsby.com/crimes/obstruction/resisting-officer-with-violence.html

Of course, the 2nd Ammendment does apply whatsoever in these cases.
