It could come from Asia. Remember the boom boom room in Washington? That was named after the phrase used by Thai prostitutes to communicate with English speaking customers.
As for ping pong, does anyone remember that photo of an Asian street trader with a board displaying bracelets? Each of the bracelets had a graphic sexual comment on them in bad English. Among all the vulgar sexual bracelets one stood out that simply said "I heart Ping Pong'
