While her own performance work is linked with shamanistic rituals, the far right have misunderstood her art as Satanism.
Her work surfaced during the Pizzagate scandal of 2016, where one of Abramovic’s emails to Democratic lobbyist Tony Podesta (brother of Hillary Clinton campaign chair John Podesta) refers to a “Spirit Cooking,” which is the name of an artwork she made in 1996. It was assumed to be an occult ritual.
“People can so easily put labels, we are afraid of everything,” she said. “I talk openly on every single subject in my work, it’s very important to understand it and put it in the right context.”

They also link to an opinion piece by The Guardian's art critic written in November 2016 (who some time ago argued in favour of a painting of Balthus, creator of pedophile art, at the MoMa: 'Arguing over art is right but trying to ban it is the work of fascists.').

...this story about art, satanism and conspiracy theories is just another window on what has gone wrong with democracy.
When you define those who disagree with you not just as political opponents but satanic acolytes of darkness, you are committed to a politics of unreason, intolerance and hate.

Right, her twitter handle included "666", she explicitly uses upside down pentagrams (the defacto symbol of left hand path - black magic) in her "Art" (Read: Rituals when performed in a private setting, her words). She follows Aleister Crowley, an avowed Black Magician who styled himself as "The Beast 666", the Antichrist, who himself wrote of sacrificing children. She has been filmed, photographed seemingly abducting a shirtless male child (A Crowley Favorite, according to his writings), while covered in and biting snakes, cutting pentagrams into herself and simulating cannibalism with people pretending to be corpses. Oh, and she's in her 70s but she could easily pass for 35 or younger due to rumored consumption of Adrenalchrome. Uh huh, yeah, she's not a Luciferian at all.
