I always thought he was referring to Martha's Vineyard, being sarcastic. IOW saying "I didn't think we were taking about a vacation ".

Yeah, the wet work was a political hit on Bernie Sanders potraying him as a hypocrite for attending a getaway on Martha's Vineyard paid by lobbyists. They released a photo of Sanders by the pool, that's the pool party at The Vineyard.
