Just curious do you know what the crown stands for? I have seen it myself and couldn't figure it out.

Ok, i finally found it... Here you go Gothamgirl

"They said the cherry symbol means virgin. The number of roses implies the price and an airplane means new in town.

A crown symbol indicates a girl or boy is under house arrest and the growing heart emoji let’s the buyer know the girl or boy is childlike and still has some growing to do."

A crown symbol indicates a girl or boy is under house arrest

Maybe 'house arrest' means they are held at home like the 13 children recently rescued in Perris, Ca.?

Children who are home schooled and held like prisoners?

Have you got a referrence to support this theory?

To me it seems patently obvious that a crown symbolizes "a little princess" or "prince" -- innocent and exapensive. (Excuse me while I hurl).

You can find the academic papers online. They say this is not intended for classification, but an approach for law enforcement to more easily find potential trafficking in online ads. They examined 8000 women seeking men ads on Backpage and identified 35 potential instances of trafficking

I'd be very interested in seeing what peer review says about their conclusions. Their research comes from the field of knowledge management, using tools like analyzing text or emojis to establish correlation.

I wonder how much crosschecking they do with as someone like sociologist specializing in prostition. .....looks like they interviewed law enforcement as their experts.

This is the summary for the crown. πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘ Crown Indicated that the poster is usually a minor with a pimp controlling them.

Does anyone else think it's patently obvious?

That's seems to me to be an idiosyncratic interpretation.

Under house arrest? As in, by the court? That suggests complicity between the justice system and the traffickers in terms of alerting them to which child is under house arrest and where they live, and if a parent is at home. It also suggests the possibility of the parent(s) offering their child up. We've seen all of this in spades, but maybe not in such an organized way.

If by chance someone knew that a kid was being held under house arrest, and saw vehicles coming and going at the child's house at odd times, they might be witnessing trafficking. If that someone had a very good camera with a long lens, they could take photos of the license plates. If anyone reading this fits this description, I hope they consider looking into this.

House arrest is old ghetto talk as explained by a wigger chick I used to know 20 years ago, it means to keep ones girlfriend in the house by force because he caught her smiling at another man, or actually cheating on him. In this case I believe it just imprisonment by pimp

Sometimes, like now, I'm reminded of what a different world I live in.

Just go downtown USA and strike up some conversations. Bus station is a good start. A pack of cigarettes will get people talking, but don't wear them where everyone can see them. Just say something like I'm fresh out, I only got two and take one out of pocket.

Thank You! That certainly deserves an Upvoat! What a valuable idea. Many times when we research and there is a car outside on the Google map, I think wow if only we could get the # on the car. This is one great way to catch those pimps or parents in the act. Hallelujah!

You're thinking about it wrong. You go to them. They don't come to you.

Incall vs outcall.

Have you never seen the movie Disturbia? (parental guide 13) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486822/ ---- Nothing to do with pizzagate, but it is a re-make of Alfred Hitchcocks movie Rear Window, in modern day America not 1950s. It is very well done if you like thrillers - oh the boy is 'under house arrest' .... my whole point of mentioning it haha

Gothamgirl ago

Oh wow you just really pieced together something I have digging into for months. Thank you very much.
