I think it's had quite the opposite affect actually. There was never a focus on pedos in Hollywood in the first place. Of course there are going to be people who try to control the conversation and steer it in a certain direction (e.g. deflecting by making it out like so-and-so was the ONLY person being horrible, rather than focusing on the people who enabled them as well). However think about how the MeToo movement has affected the psyche of the general public. It's made people not only think about abuse more, it's made it UNACCEPTABLE. Much of it was swept under the rug before because there wasn't enough public outrage, and society was just too tolerant about it. There IS that outrage now, and it feels like a productive outrage. Just look at the case of Larry Nassar. He'd been getting away with assault for years, but his case was put into the spotlight recently, and people were not happy about it, to say the least.
