There are likely two things going on here.
Even amongst the asshole Hollywood liberal set, there are still individuals who are grossly uncomfortable with the things that go on. They've got a window to talk about these things now, so they're testing the waters.
Also, this could be an effort to release some of the pressure before the entire thing blows. IE, if we talk about a few little things that can't really be corroborated, maybe the American public won't keep digging into our trash.
Those aren't mutually exclusive, either. We could have both going on simultaneously.
