He is a Member of the European Parliament (at least he was for many years, not sure whether he might recently have retired) for the Green Party.
In the early 1970s, he worked in a kindergarten and let the children touch his penis. He reveled about the 'erotic power' of 5(!) year old girls in his book.
Later he claimed that the book was 'mere fiction' and 'bad literature' and that he wasn't a pedophile.
There is a YT vid where you can see him in a talkshow in 1982 talking about the erotic power of little girls - you don't have to speak French to get the idea - just listen to his 'ohlala', his facial expression and hear the audience laughing.
