LAPD is so corrupt, I have trouble believing this.
The mob has their people in all the important departments (child welfare, sex crimes, murder), and the last LAPD chief Bratton was the epitome of the mob.
Yes, over 30 years ago I was told by someone in the know that organized crime ruled almost all police departments in the USA. Would like to know the connections between MS 13 and organized crime. Need a really tough police chief to make a difference, including a massive overhaul to regain public trust.
I have a relative that was a high ranking brass in a police department. He always said he never trusted most of the other cops. Many are corrupt as the day is long, always looking for handouts.
I think part of the problem is the current ecosystem police chiefs are so political. Look at how they brought in New Yorker William Bratton to Los Angeles. Many police departments get C level executives to be chiefs. I fear the circle they choose from is very small and apparently full of criminal hacks (like Bratton).
