I don't know about Rogan. Sometimes I think he's genuine and just doesn't have all the info he needs to truly understand the bigger picture, OR he's completely aware of everything, 100% complicit, and is an active gatekeeper. I agree with the guy on a lot of issues, especially those about weed and psychedelics, but when he refuses to talk badly about celebrities accused of pedo shit, it makes me wonder how much you can really trust him. He said that he would "never say anything bad" about someone that he had a friendship with, "no matter what they were accused of."
Ive listened to hundreds of his podcasts, and I think he just lacks some information for the bigger picture on some issues, but in relation to this, he probably does have friends that have done shitty things, and he might just not want to believe a friend would do something like this.
Don't get me wrong, I like Joe, and I've also listened to hundreds of his podcasts. But ever since he had Bryan Callen on JRE talking about Pizzagate and how "fake" it is, I have not been listening nearly as often. The way that Callen just dismissed the whole thing and Rogan didn't call him out on what a dumbass he was being, it really pissed me off. The one person I constantly find myself agreeing with on JRE, though, is Eddie Bravo, the guy who they're always laughing at for being the "conspiracy guy." That's what I feel like all voaters have in common, we're known in our circles as "the conspiracy guy," so we know how it feels to be dismissed and laughed at.
ah I didnt see that one. From what Ive seen, Joe tends to not fight back against things that arent weed or MMA. Its unfortunate, because by not doing so, he doesnt press answers from his guests.
They are all playing their 'roles'. We are all familiar with 'The conspiracy guy', 'the middle of the road aware normie' , 'the antagonist douche'. Sucks in the audience in a way they can relate on a subliminal level while having their perception subtly moulded on whateva topic.
