Except that was not the content of that page when Assange DMed him.

Also, this is your big takeaway from this news?

Who said wikileaks was neutral and unbiased? I've only seen the claim that they're reliable and accurate, never that they had no motives of their own.

Who says they are not neutral and unbiased? Only the people accused of course!

I'm not accused and I'll say they're biased/non-neutral. The timing of leaks is considered, and Assange doesn't want to live in an embassy until he rots.

It's just a false dichotomy, it's entirely possible for the organization to be biased and push a self-serving agenda (Assange wants safe haven somewhere), while also serving the good of the many.

It's actually very similar to the false dichotomy around Trump: I've heard a lot of people suggest that he only ran for the presidency because of his ego as though that is necessarily a bad thing. But I feel that if he ran for his ego, that's reassuring, because his ego would take a massive hit if he went down in history as a failed president. Whereas if he goes down in history as "the man who saved america", his ego will be thrilled.

Sometimes, what is good for the individual is also good for the many.

Exactly, about Trump. False dichotomy. Why can't both be correct. I think you said it well. Congrats, you are thinking. This is something that would be helpful to many if they could refrain from just thinking either / or. It's not that simple w/ the man and his agenda.

The human body is like a brilliant computer, one of the things that makes it brilliant is how neurons can remap themselves essentially at will. The secret of quantum computing is locked in the structure of our minds.

Switching to "either/or" is a comforting but very limiting behavior, because you're changing your switches from "0, 1, 2, 3" to "0, 1". Suddenly expressing even a simple thought (Base-10 "33" = Base-4 "201") becomes much more difficult (Base-2 "100001").

The more options you have available, the more densely you can store information. When you're stuck in binary thinking, even a simple thought is complicated/difficult to express.

Fascinating.
