When I lived in Hollywood I was invited to attend dozens of cult-like meetings of different organizations, all promising they had direct contacts with casting directors and a few minor stars, to assist my career. I could never afford the "success workshops", and somehow knew even the free ones sponsored by SAG-AFTRA with real casting directors and their assistants all left me beyond frustrated due to the lack of real info.

However many today feel completely lost and frustrated, even if they're not working in the entertainment industry especially if they left their small-town atmosphere for the overall confusion and negativity of the dog-eat-dog world of big city life.

Anyone recall when psychics (faux ones) and tarot card readers were all the rage as a way of solving one's issues?

It makes sense when you put it like that. Everybody's looking for a secret to success. It's what Madoff used to bilk people out of their fortunes.

So this is one of many, many, many sex cults. And what's being left out is that there is one central group behind all of them giving training out to those idiots that want to be "leaders".

Thanks for the insider view. Glad you stayed away from these pervs for whatever reason.

Like Scientology super salespeople targeted wealthy victims enduring high stress in their lives with the promise of lifestyle classes providing answers. The sex cult aspects came later on. Don't discount the obvious lesbian and bisexual aspects, or at least an opportunity to socialize with those on a similar, upper middle class socio-economic level.
