This makes me sad. I thought Russell Crowe was on our side. Because he refused to play the role of a violent pedophile in the Angelica Huston-directed and horrifyingly terrifyingly violent film, "Bastard out of Carolina." I haven't brought that up here yet. Its horrifying, and its is ticking warped because when Roman Polanski was caught drugging and raping a child in HEr and Jack Nicholson home, she didn't seem to care whatsoever about the girls well being. The movie Bastard Out of Carolina retraumatized me. Its messed up. And its not right. And Russell Crowe refused to be in it due to the explicit scenes of physical and sexual violence against a child
Yes, based on Dorothy Allison's book. Beautiful book, but horrible abuse in the narrative. I very much respect the book and Dorothy Allison. The movie freaks me the Fuck out. A. Huston is sick . And OMG the little girl who played the lead role... I will never recover from watching that movie . Never should have been made.
