At the bottom of the cinemablend page it says

UPDATE! Thanks to Cody below in the comments section, for simply having the good sense to check the URL of the image being used on the movie's "official site". As we'd all but assumed, this is a hoax. Viewing source on the image reveals that the URL is the newspaper. There's one trail they forgot to cover. Great journalism Weekly Dig. I'm sure you're patting yourselves on your back for your wonderful sense of irony. Some though, might call it lying... which is only acceptable on April Fools.

So wasn't this fake?

Oh, you mean like my headline for this post?

Judd Apatow Calls Out Trump for Craziness -- But Apatow was the One Involved with a Fake Film Called Ped-O-Van!Judd Apatow Calls Out Trump for Craziness -- But Apatow was the One Involved with a Fake Film Called Ped-O-Van!

OBVIOUSLY, the film was fake! It's stated in my subject line for this so it's not the point. The point is why this for a fake film? Why the pic of Will Ferrell? And why did someone running the website Ped-O-Van.com have it up until 2014? That's when the following tweet was posted:

https://twitter.com/search?q=Ped-O-Van.com&src=typd

"Your http://ped-o-van.com Google Apps account has been closed."

This guy is from Boston.

Apatow was not involved that's the part you are misunderstanding.

Read the disclaimer at the bottom of the article again. Judd Apatow was not creating this fake movie. The Weekly Dig created a fake Judd Apatow movie. Apatow had nothing to do with it.
