The main reason I would be for this bill, is that it will bring the market out of the dark. Which would hopefully create protections for women forced into sex work. If you ever look at statistics for sex workers, you would realize that it is a dangerous line of work. Most people feel ok to prey on these women because it is a dark market and think they can't turn to law enforcement.
Just because these women were born with shitty fathers or from an impoverished country doesn't mean they aren't humans who could use help getting away from abusive men.
Sin taxes are very common in my state. Its why cigarettes cost so much. But hopefully less people die from cancer and such. I haven't delved into the statistics.
