The main reason I would be for this bill, is that it will bring the market out of the dark. Which would hopefully create protections for women forced into sex work. If you ever look at statistics for sex workers, you would realize that it is a dangerous line of work. Most people feel ok to prey on these women because it is a dark market and think they can't turn to law enforcement.
Just because these women were born with shitty fathers or from an impoverished country doesn't mean they aren't humans who could use help getting away from abusive men.
You forget that these industries don't exist in a vacuum. Throughout pizzagate we have seen how when certain activities/industries picked up, child sex trafficking went up. Mother Teresa won't be running these sex work places. You don't think the sleezy owners of the prostitution industry won't ever recruit people below the legal limit? Recently there was a thread talking about how Playboy put a 10 year old in their magazine. https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/2163573 It is noble to have compassion for people, but in this situation, the more compassionate thing to do would be to get the women out of that industry and to educate women on how to avoid getting trapped in prostitution.
Guess the main thing we can agree on is protecting victimized women. And taking down criminal networks/removing funding from those who traffic and abuse them.
