The "evidence" he was missing was he hadn't posted on twitter in a while.
The "evidence" he was in "danger" was immediately followed by an email explaining why he wouldn't be in "danger." That email was of course ignored. He was supposedly in "danger" because he was the source for an article. Except they realized he couldn't be the source for the article.
