There is a current spate of reports of mothers who have reported spousal child abuse only to have their children removed from their care and returned to the abusive father (Dearman and Hampstead Children included). I wonder whether Gardner's research on 'parental alienation' or indeed any of Underwager's research is consulted or referred in such decisions. I am currently looking into the UK Judiciary and particularly those Judges' rulings.
