This is great stuff, upvoated.

I've believed from the start that this is going to be a generational struggle, something that takes decades. A few months ago, I used the analogy of the 30-year struggle by the people of Sicily to get rid of the Mafia. They would do things like post stickers on storefronts, to let people know that a particular restaurant or deli no longer paid the "pizzo," or extortion money. (see here).

I still think the anti-Mafia crusade makes a good analogy, but your historical work is even better.

I read that post and it was excellent. I agree that this is very similar to organized crime. In fact, I will take it a step further, I believe that the whole system: political, health care, judicial, law enforcement, child protection services, non profits, banking, drug cartels, mafia.....it is all a well- coordinated, organized crime effort. I think if you look at the low and mid level arrests that have been occurring it follows the pattern of how organized crime bosses are taken down. This movement is just getting started. I am convinced that history repeats itself and based on history our team wins!
