LITTLE Reuel Winfred, was born November 28, 1901 in Kingston, I.T., the son of James William Little and Mary Catherine Dunn Little, and the brother of Quintin Little, Blanche Nelson, Paul Little and Virginia Schafer. In 1929, he married Clemma Ayres, with whom he had one son, Reuel Edwin. After Clemma died in 1932, he married Oteka Wilson, to whom he was married sixty years and had five children, James Winfred Little, Charles Jackson Little, Oteka Ann Ball, Dan Vincent Little and Janna Lou Robbins. He has seven grandchildren, Jeremy Ball, Oteka Lyn Ball, Carrie Boren, Dan Boren, Janna Little, Dana Little and Molly Little. After graduating from Kingston in 1919, he attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from Law School in 1927, practicing law in Madill for 66 years and being the head of the law firm of Little, Little, Little, Windel & Coppedge.
He was a determined champion of the working person and had the highest respect for the legal profession as the defender of individual liberty and protector of civilized society. In honor of his handicapped son, Jack Little, he built Camp Jack Little for deaf and handicapped children and through the Jack Little Foundation, has helped hundreds of needy children born with cleft palates. He invented the Reuel Little Tree Injector, which has made our world more productive and thrived on many different business ventures. He was a loyal member of the Church of Christ with a strong belief and trust in his Lord,** a 32nd Degree Mason**, a Paul Harris Rotarian, and active in many causes and organizations. Most importantly, Reuel Little was a devoted, loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. On December 1, 1993 after a brief illness, he died at the age of 92. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3 from Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Madill with interment in Woodberry-Forest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Marshall County Hospital Foundation or charity of choice.
